MZG is founded, managed and owned by Peruvians. The team of Maria Zans Gia consists of a group of ambitious, intelligent and dynamic native Peruvians, who know the lyrics of Peru’s National Anthem by heart and sing it with pride.
They are Peruvians born and raised in the rich traditions, customs and culture of their country; they took their first steps on Peruvian soil and were told the history of the great Inca Pachacutec, Francisco Bolognesi and Miguel Grau.
They are Peruvians who grew up with Mazamorra Morada, Picarones con miel de Chancaca, Quinua, Arroz con leche, Anticuchos, Pollo a la Brasa and Inca Cola.

“MZG is not interested in mass tourism; we aim to be as special and unique as our country is.
With whatever we do, we want to be the best or we simply don’t do it. Our priorities are not in profit margins, but in customer satisfaction.
Our objective is not only to offer the best horse riding trips in Peru, but also to ride only the very best horses. We breed, raise and train our own horses to accomplish these goals. We feed them, watch them grow up and prepare them with patience, love and dedication.
Similarly we offer wonderful kayak trips in our country, but only do so with the very best sea kayaks money can buy and with the best guides and experts on the water.
Our trekking programs do not include the overcrowded but popular ‘Inca Trail’ because this would not be compatible with our vision of offering a unique adventure off the beaten path. Our treks are also not for the faint-hearted - we do rough it out - but at the same time our excellent guidance, state-of-the-art camping equipment and rock solid organisation provides comfort and peace of mind to our clients and are by far the best available on the market.”
