The people behind MZG have been in the tourist industry since 1996 when Eduard van Brunschot began his riding operation Perol Chico in the Sacred Valley. During the initial years Eduard organised many treks and guided various outdoor activities to help finance the starting cost of his ranch.

Maria Zans joined the ranch activities some years later and soon became responsible for the organisation and administration of all the equestrian activities at Perol Chico. Maria’s inspiring enthusiasm, natural social skills, and multiple talents, all combined with irresistible charm, became by far one of the most valuable assets to the company

Perol Chico is the pioneer of equestrian travel and earned a flawless reputation as the best equestrian outfitter in Peru (their 12-day ride is rated by National Geographic as being one of the top 10 horseback rides in the world).

During Perol Chico’s 15 years of horse riding tours and expeditions in Peru, the team of Perol Chico explored thousands of miles of hidden trails in the Peruvian Andes and coastal areas. They have gained extensive experience in the organisation of camps and the complicated logistics involved during long stays and expeditions in both the remote mountainous regions and the arid deserts of Peru. They know what true adventure travel means.
